FashionSpace: New Social Networking Community IQONS Launches With London Fashion Week

iqons.jpgIQONS is a social networking community focused on fashion and style for everyone from star designers, stylists and fashion photographers to fashion fans and consumers. It has rich, timely content generated by its members and has a structure committed to providing support to new talent around the world in partnership with established fashion leaders.

Based in the UK, IQONS is holding a press conference to coincide with London Fashion Week. The conference, titled, "Fashion Meets Web 2.0," will be held at 9a, Tuesday, February 13, at The Hospital, 24 Endell St, London WC2H 9HQ, and will feature IQONS members, as well as the unveiling of the first three guest IQONS - iconic global fashion designers.

I've signed up with a PR Couture portrait (portrait is the new profile), and have been checking things out. Decidedly more worldly than myspace, it's been an enjoyable scope so far - quick rollovers of portraits reveal members' forte, and the the eye candy is an enjoyable plus. Fashion people are pretty people, even when they are graphic designers from France. I'm also glad to see that even stylistas aren't above the cheesy warhol-inspired photobooth filter.
