Michael Rogers PR, a luxury PR firm based in New York and Los Angeles, is pleased to announce it’s latest client – Ready-to-Wear designer Yotam Solomon. Based in Los Angeles, Yotam Solomon graduated from California’s Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in 2008. However, unlike many recent graduates, he’s no stranger to the runways, having shown two successful Ready-to-Wear collections during LA’s Spring & Fall 2008 Fashion Weeks.
Solomon launched his signature collection at just twenty. A native of Israel and a former violin prodigy in Austria, the designer was influenced by his family’s European roots. After growing up surrounded by several cultures, Solomon’s first collection exhibited inspirations from his European upbringing combined with the luxurious relaxation of West Coast style.
A new spin motivated Solomon’s second collection for Fall/Winter ’08. Taking his inspiration from everyday cues including the beautiful skies, the sunset, the stars and the infinite galaxies, the collection celebrated the beauty of our universe. A wide variety of exceptional colors such as twilight blue, burnt orange and royal lilac comprised the palette, demonstrating the different forces in nature such as fire, ice, wind, and the spectacular shades of a sunset.
Working with conceptual fabrics, Solomon combines elements of technology and fashion that are based around the conservation and improvement of the environment. From fabrication and fiber choices to the forward-looking cuts, Solomon says “There is a unique style to this collection that suits any woman from the jet setter to the fashionista – there is something for everyone.”
Yotam Solomon’s designs have been featured in Women’s Wear Daily, California Apparel News & British Vogue.
