I am so excited to finally be able to announce that Windows phone is sponsoring PR Couture to attend Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York. This will be my first time attending Fashion Week, and I am really looking forward to experiencing the Spring/Summer 2010 designer presentations up close and personal.
The Windows phone (I’ll be using the HTC Touch Pro2) has all sorts of features that will make it easy to blog directly from the tents, so look for timely posts and of course, follow me through the day on Twitter @pr_couture. I’m also a member of Inside the Tents, which aggregates fashion blogger coverage through blog posts, Twitter, Flickr etc and is a great way to follow the buzz from event to event.
The Shows…
The week is filling up fast with shows like Leanne Marshall, Diane Von Furstenberg, Tibi, Nanette Lepore and Isaac Mizrahi.
The Events…
In addition to shows, Fashion Camp, a free event bringing together the mainstream fashion community, the independent & vintage fashion community, and the next wave of wearable technologists for workshops and presentations, takes place September 12-13. On Wednesday, September 16, Nolcha is hosting a Fashion Business Panel, with experts from Edun Live and Bel Esprit.
The Parties…
One of the major highlights is the Independent Fashion Bloggers Dress-Up Soiree and panel “Evolving Influence” on Monday night, sponsored by Moxsie and Microsoft. At 7:30, along with what is the most amazing line up of fashion bloggers I have ever seen assembled in one place, I will be speaking about the world of online fashion – quality, democratization, influence and where it’s all heading.
Panel Highlights (Jordana from Clutch22 will be moderating):
- Susie Bubble from Style Bubble
- Gala Darling
- Wendy Brandes
- Danny Roberts
- Jessica Schroeder from What I Wore
- Geri Hirsch from Because I’m Addicted
- Helen Zhu from Chictopia
- Crosby Noricks from PR Couture
- Tricia Royal from Bits n Bobbins and Wardrobe Remix)
Can you even handle how exciting this is? I really can’t. Time to pack…
