Fashion PR News: Magnolia PR Announces New Client Bobinette

Magnolia PR, a boutique fashion, baby, and lifestyle firm based in Los Angeles, recently signed on a new client, the French-inspired Bobinette children’s clothing label. Bobinette is a cosmopolitan collection of boys and girls clothing that draws inspiration from designer Lorraine Le Tac’s Paris upbringing. Bobinette is available in sizes for newborns to 8 years old for boys and 6 months to 4T for girls. The spring/summer collection retails from $14 to $75 at select boutiques.

Lorraine drew inspiration for the current Bobinette collection from vivid colors, patterns, vintage objects, travels to exotic locales
including Morocco and Sri Lanka, and simply wandering the streets of Paris. Styles include gingham, striped, and plaid button-downs, gaucho tees, twill shorts, and overalls for boys and gingham dresses with lace trim, knit ruffle dresses, and matching bloomers for girls.

The name Bobinette comes from the French tale “The Little Red Riding Hood” and also means “little face” in French. All Bobinette garments are made in the USA, and the organic baby layette is an eco-friendly option.

Bobinette is  available at Vivi Bambini boutique in New Jersey and Space Kiddets in New York as well as online at www.lilswanky.com and www.crabapplekids.com.

Fashion Camp LA: 6 Digital Fashion PR Trends

Christina Gagnier, photo by Lisa Borodkin

On Saturday I spent the day at Fashion Camp LA, in the CoLoft building in Santa Monica, immersed in discussions about the latest technological innovations and their affect and place in the fashion industry. My own presentation assumed basic social media integration at a baseline, and discussed six trends I see emerging in the digital communications space and their application to fashion PR. The presentation is embedded below, but since I tend to speak around slides instead of using a lot of bullet points aloud, here are the major points from my talk (the Joy Writer did a great job of capturing it live as well), as summarized by Tammy Trujillo in her fab recap – I couldn’t have said it better myself!).

Chic Little Devil PR Styling Suite + Celebrity Fashion Tips from Cannes

Hofit Golan wearing Falguni and Shane at Cannes, 2010

CLD PR is a full service PR agency which specializes in celebrity and media outreach. Part of the Chic Little Devil Style House umbrella, the largest celebrity and stylist resource in Southern California, CLD PR launched about six months ago with director Desiree Ontiveros at the helm, to serve increasing requests from CLD designers looking for PR support.  Daily operations for CLD PR include celebrity pulls for top celebrity stylists, editorial pulls for the likes of GenLux, Wonderland, Vogue Italy, Nylon and Lucky as well as celebrity/entertainment outreach and events.

Recently, Desiree and team represented fifteen designers at the Cannes Film Festival 2010 through a CLD PR Pop-Up Styling Suite at the Palais Miramar on the Croisette.  Because many designers lack a showroom or store presence at Cannes, the goal was to promote and present vibrant designers to the celebrity and taste-maker set, serving their fashion needs while they enjoyed the glamorous parties and red carpet festivities. CLD PR provided style advice, wardrobe lending, gown preparation, look completions, fun pampering and emergency wardrobe services complete with an in house tailor.
