Round Two: Fashion Speed Networking in London, October 7

If you are anything like me, networking events are rarely more satisfying than the watered down coffee so often served. If you're lucky enough to be in London, Fashion Speed Networking has eliminated that frantic standing around looking for a friendly face (or a great pair of shoes!) to talk to, offering something efficient and effective instead.

Over 100 industry pros turned up at last month's inaugural event for fast-chatting/moo card exchanging. A bell rang every 20 seconds before allowing 2 minutes for introductions. 2 minutes! Colored badges indicated whether individuals were fashion, beauty or industry professionals, making it easy to tailor discussions for maximum impact. The concept proved so successful that Fashion Insight has decided to turn it into a bimonthly occurrence.

The next Fashion and Beauty Speed Networking Event is scheduled on Thursday October 7 at co-working space The Cube. Question is - when will NYC or LA take the hint and put on their own super-speedy soiree? What do you think about the concept of speed networking?
