I’ve heard good things about “Fashion, Culture, and Identity” by Fred Davis and “The End of Fashion: How Marketing Changed the Clothing Business Forever” by Teri Agins. I haven’t read either but they’re on my list of must-reads in the next few months…

How about referring a Twitter Page & a Book?!
As a Public Relations & Emerging Media Manager by day/ fashion junket and die-hard fan of your blog by night, I sourced my knowledge of a worthy books/blogs to post. While PR Couture holds down as the ONLY worthy PR blog of my referral, my mind to jaunt to the queen of all twitterati & fashonista’s alike: Kelly Cutrone. People’s Revolution, leading Fashoin PR firm, is her baby, and you can follow Cutrone on Twitter (@peoplesrev). Her book, “If You Have to Cry, Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You” has a title that speaks for itself. If you want to “hear it straight”, who better than Kelly C. to read out loud?! :)

I actually just bought this book, and it’s fantastic!! It’s the AMA Handbook of Public Relations– Leveraging PR in the Digital World. It talks about how PR skills need to come to a new level now that Web 2.0 is changing the way people communicate. Love it!

I would recommend a great book, The New Rules of Marketing and PR, Second Edition, David Meerman Scott. I am presently reading this book for my class being taught at Michigan State University called the New Media Drivers License and it is awesome. It discusses how social media now gives brands and small businesses a means to stray away from traditional media to spread the word about their business. I believe it is a must read!

My favorite PR blog is hands down PR Couture. It’s so informative and interesting at the same time. I’ve read many PR and social media books from Groundswell, Putting the Public Back Into Public Relations, New Rules of Marketing and PR and my old college textbooks. I’ve found PR Couture to have innovative ideas, new websites, strategies and step by step articles. I print articles and keep them in a folder for quick reference. =) I’d love to read the Pocket Guides! Ive actually been eyeing the first one (first seen on PR Couture)!

Meet Crosby Noricks

Hi. I'm Crosby, the founder of PR Couture and a fashion brand strategist. I care about supporting and celebrating fashion publicists as well as helping rad companies connect with their audiences in more meaningful ways. Recently, iMedia included me in their annual list of 25 Internet Marketing Leaders and Innovators, along with people from Starbucks, Twitter and Volkswagon, which I think is pretty neat. Like Elle Woods, I am a Gemini-vegetarian (that's about where the similarities end). Let's connect: Check out my full bio, Brand Elixer sessions or shoot me an electronic communiqué.
