PR Couture Seeks Celebrity-Obsessed Marketing & Social Media Intern

Hello Kittens! I’m looking for one (maybe two) interns to help support the PR Couture social media front plus a new celebrity and designer-inspired venture I’m a part of (more details on that in the interview phase!). This position can either be remote or here in San Diego. In addition to being a regular PR Couture reader, you should be up-to-date on celebrity fashion trends, a top notch writer (who knows how to tell a story around a product and drive social media engagement), comfy as all get-out on Instagram and Pinterest, and familiar with or open to learning email marketing, SEO and eCommerce strategies for driving sales.

I am looking for someone who can start immediately and ideally continue through the end of summer, but you must be available a minimum of 5 hours a day, 3 days per week for at least 3 months.

The PR Couture social media community is made up of more than 100k followers across multiple platforms. Help us stay connected, share news and promote our writers, sponsors and the fashion PR industry as a whole through daily social media engagement. You will be primarily responsible for our Pinterest, Tumblr, Facebook and company LinkedIn page.

Additionally, you’ll be tasked with managing social media, writing product descriptions, developing blog articles, and building customer rapport for a handful of other ventures we’re involved with, the details of which will be shared upon hiring.

Candidate must be studying marketing, public relations or business. You should have prior experience writing engaging, conversation-making social media content, using Hootsuite, and familiarity with social media best practices. Extra points if you have built your own social media following through your blog. Experience with Mailchimp and Shopify a plus. You should consider yourself to be an excellent and creative writer who always spell checks and double checks her work. You should understand that deadlines are not suggestions, they are deadlines, and manage your time accordingly!

The position can either be based in San Diego or virtual. You should expect to dedicate about 15 hours a week and be available during regular business hours.

$100 a month stipend or school credit.  Included in the internship will be ongoing mentorship and goodies!
