Q: How can I get in touch?

For general inquiries including advertising, please contact: info[at]prcouture.com

Send a tip! Have a great story, link, blog, etc you think we should know about? Send it to: tips[at]prcouture.com

Here’s a tip! Sometimes, Twitter is the fastest way – @pr_couture

Q: Will you cover/interview my product/event/client?

A. Depends. PR Couture isn’t a strict fashion blog, so I won’t cover the your lookbook, a sample sale, or that amazing new dress/shirt/pair of glitter leggings. Everything is filtered through it’s promotional angle, so make sure to pitch me on the PR or Marketing  strategy of whatever it is. Here are some things I especially enjoy covering:

  • Fashion PR Agency News (new clients, new employees, new services)
  • Innovative uses of new technologies that improve the traditional PR process
  • Fashion PR Case Studies
  • Fashion Events from an Event Production angle
  • Interviews with Fashion Journalists/Media publications
  • “A Day in the Life” of a fashion PR practitioner
  • Independent designers doing their own PR with success

Also, PR Couture is based in San Diego, so as much as I would love to attend your event, unless you can cover airfare or give me a ton of notice, I probably won’t be there! That said, I am always interested in post-event write-ups and I love to travel so…maybe we can work something out!

Q: Can I write for PR Couture?

A: PR Couture loves guest writers! Please email writers[at]prcouture.com with a bit about your background and a few ideas for posts. We will get back to you. Currently, response times are about a week. If it works out especially well, I may ask you to be a recurring writer.

Q:  Will you do my fashion PR or give me fashion PR advice or give me a job?

A: PR Couture is not a PR agency and we don’t represent clients, but we do make great recommendations and referrals.  I simply cannot respond to each and every request for free advice or feedback.  That said, there is nothing I love more than brainstorming PR ideas, helping designers develop a PR strategy/initial roadmap, integrate social media or online marketing into a PR plan, or just helping tighten up a pitch.  If you are interested in chatting it up over the phone/skype,  please contact me for consulting options. crosby[at]prcouture.com

In addition, if there is something you would like to know more about, and you have already searched the site and it’s not addressed, then please send me an email and I will see if I can work it into a post.

Q: Do you have any advice for me about breaking into fashion PR?

A: Why yes I do! I believe that internships as well as establishing your own presence and personal brand online, particularly through blogging, are great ways to edge up on the competition! I believe that you shouldn’t wait around for the right opportunity, you should create it!

Q: Do you have any Jobs/fashion PR internships available?

A: Again, PR Couture isn’t a PR Agency and does not have any traditional internship opportunities available and cannot provide school credit. However, if you are interested in helping out, please send a cover letter and resume to info[at]prcouture.com. Tell me what specifically you think you could help out with, what kind of time you have to devote to PR Couture and we’ll talk. I always need help.

Q: Do you know of any fashion PR  internships in LA/NY/The Moon?

A: PR Couture has a job board, and any time someone posts a fashion PR internship, we also write a post about the opening and promote it through our social networks. In addition, any additional fashion PR opportunities we come across will be promoted via Twitter. We don’t usually know much more about the positions that what is written in the posting however, so please refrain from following up with PR Couture directly on a job listing!

Q: I have a job opening, will you write about it?

A: see above!

Q: Will you do a link exchange?

A: I am always happy to review link requests, but am currently only linking out to those sites that I actually read weekly and think are the cupcake’s pajamas.

What blogging/theme platform do you use?

A: I use wordpress with a custom theme.
