Comment on How to Deal When the Media Just Won’t Write You Back by Rachel Chandler http://www.prcouture.com/2016/02/why-are-you-ignoring-us-the-pr-girls-guide-to-reaching-the-media/#comment-65524 Thu, 11 Feb 2016 18:34:20 +0000 http://www.prcouture.com/?p=24788#comment-65524 Media feedback is a scary concept to me. They are constantly bombarded with ideas and I have always wondered how to really stand out and push the media without pushing them too hard. Creativity is so important and can often be extremely difficult for many reasons, but when you knockout a story that will really impact the reader is when you’ll most likely get attention. I like the point made about taking networking advantage by colleagues or co-workers because everything improves when you gain input and ideas from others.

Comment on I’ve Graduated With My PR Degree, Now What? by Kadie Hueffner http://www.prcouture.com/2016/01/job-tips-pr-grads/#comment-65489 Sat, 23 Jan 2016 05:26:19 +0000 http://www.prcouture.com/?p=24556#comment-65489 First of all, thanks for sharing this post! I will be graduating with a public relations major in the spring of 2017 and I am already extremely focused on what I can do to get myself where I want to be in the PR industry. This post is exactly what I need to read to get a head start. Question, how should I handle situations where someone that I am reaching out to hasn’t gotten back to me in awhile? I would hate to feel like I am a nuisance but if my dream job is out there and they aren’t responding I would hate to just give up. Also, should I taylor my resume specifically to each job I am applying for? Or leave that for the letter of introduction.

Comment on How to Fix 6 Common Clients Problems Faced by Freelance PR Pros by Ally Brayton http://www.prcouture.com/2015/11/6-common-client-problems-faced-pr-freelancers-fix/#comment-65428 Sun, 29 Nov 2015 23:08:12 +0000 http://www.prcouture.com/?p=22567#comment-65428 I never considered freelance PR until reading this post because you give really great advice on how to handle difficult clients in a professional manner. I actually agree with the behavioral clause, unfortunately people tend to twist your words or cause complications these days. So, having an agreement in writing between one another isn’t a bad idea. I also agree with the limitations of editing because there’s always room for improvement in each editing process! Looking forward to reading more.

I love thinking about social media as a research tool! It is so important for companies to have a voice on social media, but I do think that the research potential of sm is overlooked. I really like your tip about tracking competitors on social media. It is imperative to be on top of your game in analyzing the industry.
