Ready to Launch is an information-dense, fun-to-read adventure through the fast-paced, ever-evolving world of fashion PR, written particularly for public relations/marketing/communication undergraduates and entry-level PR practitioners. This is the only career guide for aspiring fashion PR pros of its kind and an absolutely must-have!
In it, I draw from nearly a decade working in fashion & consumer PR/marketing, from my entry-level start in jewelry PR to establishing an award-winning social media department at a successful digital marketing agency. Included is my best advice; everything I wish somebody had told me when I was starting my career, in the same straight-forward, wit-with-wisdom tone that has made PR Couture such a valued resource for today’s fashion communicator.
It’s definitely not all about me though. Ready to Launch is also packed with the invaluable first-hand experiences and advice from more than two dozen fashion PR practitioners – from CEOs to interns – working at agencies large and small, with brands like Betsey Johnson, Tom’s, Coach and Elie Tihari.
10% of profits are donated bi-annually to The Dream Project, a 501(c)3 US-based nonprofit organization that provides inclusive, sustainable education programs for children and youth in the Dominican Republic. I chose this organization because it has played an important role within my family and I have visited and experienced firsthand the positive impact they are having in the DR.
