PRCouture_GettingIN_5How did you get to where you are now? is a question we ask our mentors, journalists ask celebrities and one I’ve always loved finding the answers to from the publicists we feature on PR Couture. I think it’s especially interesting to shed light on the early days, which is why our Getting IN posts (the series we do with fashion PR interns, entry-level and all-around inspiring young professionals) are so dear to me.

I announced through email (you’re signed up, yes?) and did an early access push through Facebook (you’ve liked us, yes?), and then completely spazzed on writing a blog post about that fact that 15 of our greatest Getting IN stories have been bundled together in a gorgeous, magazine-style ebook. It’s not just a repackaging of previously published content however, I reached out to a few of my favorite interviewees to find out where they are now, and the result (while not salacious enough to tempt VH1) is an inspiring set of experiences that are sure to give you a boost.

Currently, I am the PR Coordinator at Marchon Eyewear. We have a portfolio of designer brands that include Chloe, Valentino, Salvatore Ferragamo, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Lacoste, DVF, Fendi, Emilio Pucci, Nike, etc. I am so excited to have gotten a job in fashion PR right out of college. I feel so lucky to be doing exactly what I want to do. – Ashley Santucci

I hope you enjoy reading through the original intern interviews and then finding out what happened next. Satiate that curiosity and answer the question by picking up a copy today!

Extra special thanks to Morgan for the design, and Erika for the images.
