Cision has released the results from its Social Journalism Study, a survey that collected more than 3,000 responses from journalists in 11 countries. You can download the full report, but here are a few key findings:
- 81 percent use social media for sourcing a story (though 31 percent have a negative opinion of social media’s effect on the journalist profession)
- 90 percent of journalists use social media 1+ hours per day, while only 10 percent don’t use it at all.
- 42 percent of journalists use 4-5 social media types in a typical week
Any surprises?
