hib-flowerMagnolia PR, a boutique firm located in Los Angeles focusing on fashion, baby, and lifestyle, has added recycled silver jewelry company Casalinda Studio to it’s roster.

The debut collection is inspired by California native flowers, mudcracks, and other natural elements. Casalinda pieces, retailing for just under $100 and up, use only recycled, reclaimed, and vintage precious metals, stones, and pearls. Any new gemstones and beads are produced in the U.S. or by Fair Trade Federation suppliers and the jewelry is packaged in recycled materials.

Based in San Diego, Calasinda is created by jewelry maker Linda DaPra, who draws inspiration from the mountains, deserts, and ocean of San Diego. The California native flowers pieces are influenced by the works of A.R. Valentien, who was commissioned by philanthropist Ellen Browning Scripps to paint these endangered flowers. DaPra is drawn to the dichotomy between rough, imperfect elements in nature and beautifully fashioned metal art, calling her pieces “little sculptures.”
