Duffy & Shanley, a Providence, RI-based PR and full service marketing agency, has added handbag company, Brahmin Leather Works to its roster. Brahmin, a family owned company, has a rich heritage of producing classically beautiful and functional handbags of the highest quality leather. D&S will handle national PR including all media relations, product placement, website and collection launches, and special projects.
Duffy & Shanley will develop a comprehensive public relations campaign to elevate awareness of the Brahmin brand by connecting with all aspects of the fashion media as well as with consumers. Strategic partnerships will be explored to showcase Brahmin’s extensive product line known for its classic style and exceptional quality as well as its rich heritage. Duffy & Shanley will also be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing a new web design for Brahmin.com.
Brahmin Leather Works was founded in 1982, the entrepreneurial dream of Bill and Joan Martin. The name Brahmin was used in Boston in the 1800’s to describe a cultured person from an established upper class family, and was chosen by the Martin family because they aspired to create a handbag of which even a Brahmin would be proud.
While the Martin family is still heavily involved in the business, Brahmin has grown to include a team of skilled and trained crafts people with exceptional design experience.
