How did you get started in PR? What was your first job?

I actually started out in editorial working at CondeNast Traveler, Time inc and a quick stint at SELF magazine. I transitioned into marketing & PR with my job at Attention USA.

What is the mood like in the office? What are you working on right now?

The mood is exciting! We had a crazy busy year and everyone was working really hard so I think we are sort of reflecting on our successes. We are currently working on our clients This is Ground, Bliss & Bone, One Colorado, Platform and ramping up for next year’s CREATE & CULTIVATE and also the launch of our pop up shop, On Holiday.

What are three must-have tools, apps, or products that are essential to your job?

Our sweet spot lies in the fashion, beauty and lifestyle space. We love clients who are open to be creative, have a little fun and think outside the box. The clients most open to risk usually end up being the happiest.

  1. A backup charger– literally live and die by my phone
  2. Dropbox— our whole business is done via dropbox so we can literally be anywhere and access anything
  3. Fohr Card— it allows us to access influencer data on the fly while creating campaigns

What makes an ideal client for your agency?

Our sweet spot lies in the fashion, beauty and lifestyle space. We love clients who are open to be creative , have a little fun and think outside the box. The clients most open to risk usually end up being the happiest.

What is a recent success story you’re proud of?

I am really excited about the collaboration we brokered between leather goods brand, This is Ground and illustrator, Freegums. The results were rad and drummed up a lot of buzz for both of them.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learned since you started running your own business?

Success means very different things to different people– it’s always important to define success before embarking on any campaign.

How do you get the word out about your agency?

We are actually really fortunate in that we have never gone out for new business it has always come to us via word of mouth and referrals.

What excites you about PR these days?

The changing landscape! PR is looking more like marketing and marketing, advertising and advertising, social media. The lines are blurred which opens up the playing field to new and exciting approaches!
