FaCshion is a complex marketplace and media outreach is one piece of a successful fashion PR campaign. In order to get picked up by boutiques and department stores, most fashion designers will try their luck at one of the the big trade shows like POOL, MAGIC, or PROJECT. However, trade shows are costly and for many emerging designers, the sheer expense associated with showing at these major players means it can feel like a non-option. It’s like a catch 22: you need your brand to be there so that you can hopefully wrangle some face time with the top buyers, but how are you supposed to afford flight, hotel, and the costly fees associated with showcasing your designs, when you are already above and beyond your budget?

Lucky for Londoners, the trade buyer and consumer show called FaCshion does things a little differently. During the 2-day show set for September, trade buyers can source new collections from designers that seldom have the budget to exhibit at traditional trade shows. In addition, by being open to your average fashionista, both industry elite and trend-setters alike have an opportunity to preview some of the hottest collections before they get snatched up and made available to the mainstream. By making trade shows affordable, Faschion proves you don’t need a buyer badge, big name, or fancy budget to make it in the fashion game.

If any of your clients would like to exhibit their collection at FaCshion at a 15% discount, please contact Event Organizer Luke Gittens Tel: +44 (0) 7946 121 043, Marketing Diana Young Tel: +44 (0) 7931 137 122 Fax: +44 (0) 208 451 9217 or Email: info[at]facshion.co.uk for more information.

Press should visit www.FaCshion.co.uk to register for invitations.

FaCshion is the very first exhibition to target both trade buyer and fashionista in the capital, co-founded by start-up designers Luke Gittens and Diana Young. The exhibition will host four catwalk shows, a champagne brunch for press and buyers and 50 selected exhibitors over a two day event, held at ‘the creative hub of London’s East End’; the Old Truman Brewery. Unfolding on Saturday 13 September (13:30 – 18:00) and Sunday 14 September 2008 (12:00 – 18:00),

FaCshion presents a range of emerging designers specialsing in a variation of sectors from couture to customised fashion, knitwear, lingerie, footwear and accessories. Remaining at the forefront of trends, FaCshion will also present collections from streetwear, recycled, eco-friendly and fair trade designers.

FaCshion recognises the importance of exhibiting at trade shows and aim to provide the emerging designer with the opportunity to target a mainstream audience. FaCshion removes the financial barriers associated with the traditional trade show and provides the platform for designers to target the fashionista. Trade buyers can source new collections from designers that seldom have the budget to exhibit at traditional trade shows. The fashionista seeking cutting-edge independent fashions, can attend FaCshion to seek out covetable buys that they can purchase at the event before much of it is available on the High Street.
