Happy Summer! With sunny days and fireworks just around the corner, it’s basically a requirement to get out of the office and soak up some vitamin D! Consider this your permission slip.

Here at PR Couture HQ, we are officially kicking off our summer sabbatical, which means we’re giving our writers the next two months off and slowing down our publishing schedule a bit. Expect fashion PR job postings and Fashion PR Fridays to continue as normal, with occasional articles and interviews throughout. Our monthly newsletter will be a mix of new and archived content, while monthly Instagram takeovers and social media activity will continue as normal.

As a quick reminder, registration for PRISM ends Friday at midnight – join more than 30 aspiring PR girls for an unforgettable summer of career planning, networking and PR skills!

Why a summer sabbatical?

I am a huge believer in the importance of time off in order to recalibrate, dream up new ideas and plan for the future. Permission to slow down, refocus and ease up helps to avoid burnout and is often a conduit for creativity.

Of course, just because we will be publishing fewer articles doesn’t mean work stops! I’ll be running PRISM for the next six weeks and making some important updates to the site (including a content audit of our more than 8 years of content!), marketing materials, and finalizing a few exciting new product releases for the fall.

Summer reading list

To keep you entertained (and informed), we recently refreshed our kickstart guides for students, publicists and brands. Here they are for easy reference!

Thank you so much for reading PR Couture! Happy Summer, KIT, LYLAS, etc

PS: I’m launching a brand new, personal site in the next few weeks and with it, a little bi-monthly newsletter of ideas and things that tickle my fancy (and hopefully yours too!). If you’re interested in hearing from me in a slightly different way, please sign up!
