Fashion Week is as much about the runway shows taking place all around the city as it is about what goes on after hours. On Saturday, bleary-eyed from the red eye the night before, I clung to wakefulness in order to attend Rachel Zoe’s QVC launch party inside the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week main tent. It was a great way to kick off the week and especially to be one of just a few bloggers who were invited to attend the celebrity showdown. In addition to Ms. Zoe, star sightings included Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack on Saved by The Bell), Justin Kirk (Andy on Weeds), Michael Urie (Mark on Ugly Betty), Jessica Sozhr (Gossip Girl), Hillary Duff, Heather Graham and many others I have now forgotten – Ugly Betty, Weeds and GG was pretty much heaven – I like my TV.

Fashion bloggers sipping on champagne and chatting up a storm included Jordana of Clutch-22, Julia of Fashion Pulse Daily, Zephyr of College Fashion, Wendy of Nitrolicious, Fassionaburu girls Kathy, Alyssa, Vique and Jennine of the Coveted. It was also great to meet Jeanette Vives-Silvestri of online boutique Manhattanite (I contribute to the Shop Manhattanite blog).

While we were all enjoying ourselves, QVC was broadcasting live from the tents. In addition to the collection of outwear and accessories from Rachel Zoe, QVC showcased additional popular QVC designers including Bradley Bayou, Chloe Dao, Lori Goldstein as well as the debut of several new designers including Vivienne Tam and Erin Fetherston.

Special thanks to Alyssa Beinhaker at dOMAIN for all her help. These kinds of events are nothing without the hard work and communication of those working behind the scenes.
