Style X, the free fashion event that accompanied SXSW in 2011 and 2012, has re-emerged as an independent entity. The Neighborhood will showcase emerging fashion and lifestyle brands, boutiques and speakers on 2ND Street District in Downtown Austin from March 11-14, 2013. The timing of the event comes on the tail-end of Interactive and the beginning of Music.

Joah Spearman, CEO and co-founder of AvecMode, the experiential marketing and measurement company responsible for The Neighborhood shares, “The Neighborhood at 2 ND Street District will be the first real opportunity we’ve had to bring these people together into a true community setting that isn’t in a tradeshow, fashion week or other traditional industry setup.”

Brands like Bryna Bags, Tar & Feather, Gungy Gentleman, Piper Grove, HoodieBuddie and BedStu have all gone on record in support of the departure, noting strong sales, marketing opportunities and networking opportunities with press and music stylists.
