Style By is where emerging fashion from around the world is showcased in front of the coolest and most buzz worthy creators of all things music, film and interactive.

So first things first – I am twirling in my skirts because I’m going to Austin to take part in Style X! I’ll be speaking on a panel with, wait for it, Leandra Medine aka The Man Repeller, as well as Keith Pollock, Editorial Director at ELLE.com, Anya Strzemien (Huffington Post, Stylelist, XOJane), Shani Silver, the Chicago Editor at Refinery29, and Danielle Snyder, cofounder of jewelry company DANNIJO. Eeeep! Seriously.

The panel looks to be a fun one – it’s called “Today’s Fashion Media Business: Same Same, But Different?” and is a “conversation about whether or not bloggers and technology have revolutionized the fashion media industry.” While the obvious answer is YES! I am looking forward to discussing the how and the ‘now what’ of it all!

In addition, Style X has released the 2012 lookbook, a 90-page guide to Style X’s dozens of emerging brands and designers, along with a foundation for what consumers can expect at this year’s event. And, in case you hadn’t heard, some of what to expect includes the musician-model runway shows and musician-gifting program which will feature collections by Rachel Rachel Roy, Kendra Scott, Cynthia Steffe, and Mishka.

Style X takes place in the Austin Convention Center and is free and open to the public on both Friday & Saturday, March 16 & 17, from noon to 8 p.m. each day. The runway shows take place between 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. each night. Media desiring special seating, should contact Style X via email immediately at joah@avecmode.com.

If you will be in town I would love to meet up! Shoot me an email or send me a tweet. Speaking of Twitter, the hashtag for the event is #stylex. Use it!
